Storytime Theme: Onomatopoeia
I think onomatopoeia is probably one of the coolest English words. Onomatopoeia is basically a word that represents a sounds, think moo, crash, boom, beep! And, it’s a lot of fun at the toddler and preschool level because they’re learning all about the world around them – what sounds to cars and trucks make, what do animals sound like, etc. This is a really easy storytime to pull together in terms of book suggestions – anything with sound effects in it will work, songs and activities were a little more difficult to come up with, but I got the job done! Try this one out for a fun storytime, any time during the year!
